Although the concept of ‘Zero Waste’ isn’t new considering that plastic was invented around WW2, there has been a lot of conversation in recent years about how big brands and manufacturers are using plastic to package everything. We know that keeping plastics out of the waste system is a problem and it can be overwhelming to figure out where and how to start reducing our contribution as a consumer.
That's why we want you to know about our simple solution: ‘Stop & Fill’.

Stop & Fill is a Canadian, Vancouver-based, family-owned and operated company with one goal: to come alongside anyone who is willing to make even the smallest effort to reduce their environmental footprint because EVERY LITTLE BIT HAS IMPACT.
We have made it easier for you to become a more conscious consumer in the methods by which you replenish the stock of your daily household needs. Our business is focused on using recycled materials when possible and aiding in the reduction of our carbon footprint at every opportunity.
Think of ‘Stop & Fill’ as a mobile storefront and product refillery, where you can refill your everyday products in reusable containers.
About the Founder

Hi, I am MJ, Founder and Co-Owner of 'Stop & Fill Zero Waste Solutions'. I have not been a stranger to environmental awareness. My early knowledge and passion for nature & care of its resources compelled me at 9 years old to protect and chain myself to a historic tree. Shortly thereafter, I came to the decision at 10 to be a vegetarian. Growing up in a farming community made me realize I no longer wanted to eat animal products.
When I was first married, I was introduced to Tupperware and the concept of using these containers - that and buying in bulk really intrigued me. I saw the opportunity to purchase in bulk and reuse the containers I had to save on packaging and reduce my waste. With that continued awareness as a mother, I would bake and use alternatives where I could, to avoid single-use packaging. I loved the concept of the ‘litter-less lunch’ and did my very best to follow that after hearing how much trash was thrown away at school.
My vision for ‘Stop & Fill’ is just a natural progression of the convictions I have had all along - of stewardship, gratitude, reverence and respect. It is not surprising that a vision exists to create a Circular Economy with big impact, a desire to continue to grow and expand the company, to pay Stop and Fill’s staff a living wage and a commitment to donate a portion of the company’s proceeds to support worthy causes, dear to the company’s heart.
My hope for Stop & Fill is that you will join me in seeing the impact that we can make by making a few simple changes to your purchases: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot.

Using their mobile storefront helped me skip the bewilderment of shopping the big box stores, trying to figure out what products were truly in alignment with being a conscious consumer.
